Four cards

Hi everyone ! Trying to use up my stash , this 12 x 12 sheet I have had for ages so cut it down to make 4 cards. On two of the cards I added some gold leaf and the other two I added a side trim. The sentiments were hand stamped the pearls and butterfly (used some gold leaf on this to)came from my stash, Thanks for stopping by.

Book decor recycle

Hello ! Inspired by a video on Facebook from some time ago. Three old hardback books ready for the recycle bin. I painted the covers with black acrylic paint (did not take long as they were black already but patchy !) I took gold wax and waxed the edges. I used some rub on to add embellishment. The wood feathers I painted with silver metallic pain. I then glued the books together and tied with string and ribbon. I then attached a key to some string and glued it inside the pages so that it would hang at the side. Then I added a silver filigree piece. A quick and inexpensive piece of décor.

Recently I made some backgrounds using Mixed Media paper and 13 arts Colour Glow powders. The powders give a fantastic shiny effect and as I left bits quite chunky it left a lovely texture. . For the first card I cut strips of various lengths then glued them to some paper. Once dry I trimmed and mounted onto cardstock.. The second card was the mixed media paper stamped with an Inkylicious stamp, layered onto coloured cardstock. I added some gems to embellish. The sentiment on both was stamped using Stazon Ink

Paper used was Prima, the chipboards are from Dusty Attic the beautiful flowers are from I Am Roses. The large chipboard was coloured with ink. The doily was die cut from gold card .
